COUNCIL MEMBERS – Mayor: Bryan Peever, Deputy Mayor: Renee O’Brien, Councillors: Dan Clow, Michelle Lomond, Deb Dunford.

COUNCIL MEETINGS – MGA, Section 199 Meeting through electronic communications, 199 (2) Councillors participating in a meeting held by means of a communication facility are deemed to be present at the meeting.

COUNCIL MINUTES – Approved Council Minutes are posted on the Village Website. Signed copies of the Minutes are available at the Village Office for viewing.

KNEEHILL CREEK EROSION REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE – September 3 – October 31, 2019. Due to years of creek erosion, repairs and maintenance are necessary and will affect the creek on the East side of the Main Campground and West side of the Island. The Pedestrian Walking Bridge that connects these two sites will be removed during maintenance and replaced after construction is completed. Unfortunately, students will have to walk around utilizing the Green Bridge to get to school. Drivers, please use CAUTION during this time. In order to complete the necessary repairs, the water will be diverted over the Weir using dams. The dams will be removed once construction is completed. Please remove your personal pumps & hoses from the creek by September 3, 2019. The Main Campground, Sites #13—22, will be CLOSED during the duration of construction.
BEAVER CONTROL – Please be advised that Beaver Control within the Village of Carbon limits will be taking place on September 14 to the end of September 2019. Mr. Jim Songhurst, Wildlife Specialist, will be responsible for the Beaver Control. Please no travelling on the Beaver Dam’s and stay clear of the creek banks for your own safety during these times. Please advise your children as we realize their curiosity will be peaked. All pets need to be on leashes on the walking trails for their safety.

ATTENTION PUBLIC – As per MGA, Section 70 (1), if a municipality purposes to transfer or grant an estate or interest in (a) land for less than its market value the proposal must be advertised.
To the attention of the general public, the Village of Carbon has made an offer to sell lots in the Diamond Valley Subdivision below assessed values, various sizes and locations available Starting at $10,000 and ranging up to $20,000.

VIDEO SURVEILLANCE – Please be advised that the Village Office, Public Works and the Carbon Centennial Swimming Pool locations have updated security systems, inside and outside the premises, and is under video surveillance 24/7.
