PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
TEMPORARY RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE COLLECTION – FRONT PICKUP
Effective November 9th, 2016
Starting Wednesday November 9th, 2016 all regularly scheduled Wednesday and Thursday residential garbage collection will be from the STREET and not the alley or lane until such time that the alleys become stabilized after spring run-off. This decision to temporarily move garbage collection to the street is due to the size of our garbage truck, which is compounded in the winter with less room to maneuver slippery corners in the alley’s or lanes, and to protect our Public Works Department from injuries.
Town Administration and Council appreciate your assistance during this time. To keep Three Hills the beautiful place it is to live, please ensure that all household garbage is securely bagged and tied, and the weight of any bag or waste receptacle (and its contents) does not exceed 22 kilograms (50 pounds). The waste receptacle for collection on the street should be placed in such a manner that it will not overturn. Each residential property is allowed 3 bags per week. Waste that exceeds 3 bags will not be collected unless the bag(s) has the appropriate prepaid tag attached. Tags are available at the Town Office. Garbage must be out for pickup by 7:00 am on the scheduled date of collection.

DEVELOPMENT PERMIT:
Take notice that the following permit(s) for the proposed use(s) listed below has been issued in accordance with Land Use Bylaw 1309-09 and any amendments thereto, of the Town of Three Hills:

Development Permit Application No: 61/900.039/16 by the Kneehill Historical Society for the move and placement of the CPR – Portable Station House on Lot R1, Block E, Plan 741 1088 (1301 – 2nd Street NE) Land Use Classification P – Community Service District

Development Permit Application No: 61/900.040/16 by Three Hills Glass for the Discretionary Use: Automotive and Equipment Sale, Repair, Rental and Storage on Lots 27-31, Block 20, Plan 4304AH (120 – 4th Avenue SE) Land Use Classification C-B – Central Commercial District

The above permit(s) shall become valid after a lapse of fourteen (14) days from the date of the newspaper in which this notice appears.
Anyone who feels prejudicially affected by this permit may appeal the permit by filing notice of appeal by 4:00 PM Wednesday October 26th, 2016 and paying the applicable fees. In the event of an appeal being filed, all interested parties will be notified.
