Sun shines on Three Hills Canada 150 Summer Celebration

The Three Hills Canada 150 Summer Celebration was a big success from start to finish.

The Three Hills Ball ‘n’ Bash saw 16 Mixed Slo-pitch teams battle it out from Friday evening to Sunday’s final. The “A” event went to the Swalwell Mud Hens, “B” went to the Bulldogs, “C” went to Kapapach and the “D” event was claimed by the Bench Warmers. Action wrapped up at about 6 pm Sunday.

Anderson Park packed for Canada 150 Community Church Service

An estimated crowd of 600 attended the Canada 150 Community Church Service at Anderson Park, in Three Hills, on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at 10:30 am.

The crowd stood as our Canadian National Anthem played and the flag bearers were led by Cst. John McLachlin of the Three Hills RCMP.

Gray reunion to reconnect families, in Three Hills, this Canada Day

The Gray Family (some spell it Grey), trace their Canadian beginnings to Scottish brothers Robert and William Gray who settled in Canada in 1882 (Robert) and 1888 (William) and were employed by the Hudson Bay Company.

Although both brothers began families, they lost touch with each other and seemed to have gone their separate ways.

Three Hills School offering Summer Camps

Three Hills School is offering four camps this summer.

The first is a Multi-Sport Camp for the really young people ages four to eight and will go from July 5-7. Kevin Wiens, PCA teacher and hockey and soccer coach, will be the head coach for this.

July 17-19 will see two camps being run concurrently. A Robotics Camp will have Adam Baxter as the instructor. He is the head of the Tech Department at the Wheatland Crossings School.
