• Public Hearing March 9th, 2020 @ The Village Office – Council Chambers at 6:15 PM – Topic: Intermunicipal Development Plan & the Proposed Bylaw 2020-02. Please refer to the full advertisement in the Capital Ad for additional information.

• March 11th – Sports Day Organizational Meeting at the Community Hall @ 7:00 PM.

• March 11th – Seniors @ Blue Ginger at 6:00 PM.

• Acme’s Community Discovery Night @ Acme Community Hall March 12th from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM. Please stop by and gather information about Family Resources and Programs available to our community. Free hotdogs, popcorn and pop.

• Flex Friday @ the Acme Library March 13th,2020. Games Day!!. Starts at 10:30 AM till Noon.

• Cub Car Rally March 14th at the Acme Hall – starts at 10:00 AM – Public is welcome to come out and watch.

• March 17th – Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

• March 23rd – Senior’s Tea at the Acme United Church – 2:00 PM.

• Prairie Rose Rebekah Lodge Soup and Sandwich – March 25th @ Senior’s Center at 11:30 AM. All are welcome to join us. $7.00 is a great deal to have a homemade lunch and spend time with our Seniors.

• March 31st – Senior’s Trip to Olds – 10:00 AM.

• Volunteer of the Year 2019! Please stop by the Village Office and leave your nominations. The Award will be presented at our Annual Sports Day Event June 20th, 2020.

• Water Meter Replacement – Over the next 18 months, “The Village” will be replacing water meters. We have contracted Cisco Plumbing from Linden. Cisco will be calling residents to arrange the change out. Please note they are calling on behalf of the Village. If you have any concerns, please call our office.

• Engine Retarder Brakes along the perimeter of Acme. If the noise is disturbing your peace of mind, stop by our office to complete a form we can forward to the Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation Department. Forms are also available at


• Please have your garbage bagged & out for pick up on Wednesdays by 8:00 AM.

• Transfer Site hours – Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

• SNOW REMOVAL – Remember to keep your sidewalks cleared of snow & ice. Please shovel your snow onto the grass not onto the street. Snow must be removed from the sidewalk 48 hours after the last snow fall. Failure to do so could result a $200.00 fine. We have sand at the Fire Hall if required, grab your personal bucket and help yourself.
