• All Sectors of Businesses (Home Businesses, Farm, Retail, Manufacturing, Social Agencies, Services etc.) Acme is encouraging all businesses to complete our ONLINE BUSINESS SURVEY MAY 12-26, 2020. The results will assist municipalities, business, support organizations and various levels of government to identify opportunities and action plans to best serve businesses through to the recovery and rebuild phases from COVID-19 in the coming years. You can enter the following link to complete the survey. One survey per business. We have the information on our website as well or call the office if you have questions.

• Businesses are starting to re-open. Let’s support locally while maintaining social distancing and the COVID-19 guidelines set out by the provincial government. Please check our website for additional information.

• Development Permits for all construction within the boundaries of Acme including (fences, sheds, shrubs, decks etc.) the Village will not charge for these types of Development Permits. We want to assist you in taking the proper precautions and follow Land Use Bylaw 2018-07 to ensure you meet all requirements and do not encroach on your neighbour’s/Acme property. We will keep a copy of the permit in our files to protect you down the road. We also recommend you check online at the Palliser Web Map Site, this is a user friendly way to identify your property lines and it will show you an actual image of your property. Remember - Call before you dig. Alberta 1st Call!

• BBQ – Bon Fire Season – Refer to Bylaw 2019-08 on the Acme website for all rules and regulations. No burning of leaves/garbage, no burn barrels. Only clean wood and charcoal allowed with a grate over top.

• The Village follows Kneehill County in regards to Fire Bans and Fire Restrictions, please check their website with up to date information and if you require a burn permit you acquire one at the Kneehill County Office.

• Great News! Council has approved the Tax Bylaw with a 0% increase for Residential and Non-Residential Properties.

• Tax Assessment Notices will be mailed out by May 22, 2020.

• Acme Golf Course is now open! Great time to get out of the home and enjoy life!

• Our office is closed to the public during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are able to take your calls and answer questions you may have. Please practice social distancing. Stay Home, Stay Safe!!

• Deferred Utilities for April 1, 2020 through July 1, 2020 are available by request to our Village Office. If you find yourself in need of assistance please know we are here to help!

• May 15 - Frank Fooks Memorial Campground in Acme opened for the Season. Due to COVID-19 we are not offering Monthly Rates, Tenting or Public Washrooms. Please call Danny or Shannon to reserve a campsite at 403-312-2388.


• Please have your garbage bagged & out for pick up on Wednesdays by 8:00 AM

• Recycling has resumed at the transfer site - New Rules in Effect due to COVID-19, refer to our website.

• Rubble Bins are back for the Month of May - New Rules in Effect due to COVID-19, refer to our website.

• Transfer Site hours – Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
