• Road Construction in Acme has begun and will continue over the next few weeks. Please visit our website & Face Book for further information.

• The Village of Acme has submitted an application with Disaster Recovery Program in regards to the overland flooding issues the Village experienced May 31st, 2020. Please contact the office to register your property. Check our website for more information to follow.

• Development Permits may be required for all your construction projects. We want to assist you in taking the proper precautions and follow Land Use Bylaw 2018-07 to ensure you meet all requirements and do not encroach on your neighbour’s/Acme property, failure to get the proper permits may result in a stop order, or tear down. We will keep a copy of the permit in our files to protect you down the road. We also recommend you check online at Palliser Web Maps, this is a user friendly way to identify your property lines and it will show you an actual image of your property. Remember - Call before you dig. Alberta 1st Call!

• BBQ – Bon Fire Season – Refer to Bylaw 2019-08 on the Acme website for all rules and regulations. No burning of leaves/garbage, no burn barrels. Only clean wood and charcoal allowed with a grate over top.

• The Village follows Kneehill County in regards to Fire Bans and Fire Restrictions, please check their website with up to date information and if you require a burn permit you acquire one at the Kneehill County Office.

• Deferred Utilities for April 1st, 2020 through July 1st, 2020 are available by request to our Village Office. If you find yourself in need of assistance, please know we are here to help!

• Senior’s Virtual Coffee Break 10:00 am – Contact Shelley by email or call 403-443-3800 or text 403-443-0793. Virtual Coffee Break dates are July 9TH, 16TH, 23rd and July 30th.

• The Acme Community Hall is open and following Covid-19 Guidelines.

• July 31st, 2020 by 4:00 PM - Property taxes are due. Failure to pay on or before this date and time will result in a 16% penalty applied August 1st, 2020. An additional 1.25% penalty will be applied on the 1st day of each month on any outstanding amount owing starting September 1st, 2020.

• Acme Library in conjunction with TD Bank are offering an online summer reading club to keep your kids engaged in reading over the summer. Contact the Library for more information.

• Acme Pool is currently closed while maintenance is being done. We will update you when it reopens via our website and the Capital Ad.

• Our Racquetball Club is open. A family membership is only $75.00 per year. Great way to get out after being locked down during Covid. Call 403-546-3737/403-3718586 for more information.

• Checkout Acme Foods, they now offer Bubble tea and take out menu items. Supporting our Local Businesses is essential in growing and sustaining our community. Please support when/where you can.


• Please have your garbage bagged & out for pick up on Wednesdays by 8:00 AM

• Transfer Site hours – Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
