Trochu Motors presented with Outstanding Dealer of the Year Award

Trochu Motors is honoured to have received the Western Producer’s 2014 Outstanding Dealer of the Year Award. “We are very fortunate to have received such an award and feel the credit belongs to our whole team,” said Dealer Principal Jack Stankievech.
The award was presented to Jack at the 2015 Western Equipment Dealers Association (WEDA) meeting in Regina. This award, selected through a process of customer nominations, recognizes a dealership in Western Canada for meeting the highest standards of customer service, business ethics, and customer satisfaction. Trochu Motors is the first AGCO brand dealership to win in the Western Producer’s 15-year history of the Dealer Award.
Trochu Motors is a family-owned AGCO, Versatile, and Kubota Dealership based in Trochu, Alberta.  It has been serving the farming community since 1947, but has been operating out of a new facility since May 2014.  “We have made a lot of changes in this past year,” said business partner, Rich Meding, “but our commitment to the customer hasn’t changed. We continue to do our best to put the customer first.” Commenting on the new facility, he added, “It’s difficult to convey just how important our new facility has been for us.  It’s allowed us to improve our communication, our camaraderie, our efficiency, and much more. We believe that also makes for a better customer experience. Our customers have definitely been very supportive of the move.”
In addition to their customers, another top priority for Trochu Motors is its people. “They are just as important as our customers,” said Jack.  “Our people are our strength. They go the extra mile to make sure our customers are taken care of.  Ensuring our people develop their skills is an important part of providing great service and a great workplace environment.”
“Over the years we have received awards from our manufacturers,” said Jack, “AGCO, Kubota and Versatile. This is the first time we have received an award based on customer nominations. It certainly is one of the most exciting awards we have received, and we are honored.”    Stated Rich Meding, “I think we have been excited for everyone involved, from our customers, staff, and business partners, to our community. We are proud of our great team that takes pride in keeping our customers going, and we are thankful to our customers and the broader community that has given us much support over the years.”
“I think we are fortunate in that we are part of a wonderful rural community,” said Jack.  “Our ag customers are hard working, progressive farmers, who take great pride in their operations. Our other customers share the same traits. Most of the businesses and people in this area, whether they be insurance agencies, trucking operations, or fellow equipment dealerships share that same Central Alberta work ethic and set of values that we strive for. Like many of them, we have always prided ourselves on our customer service and integrity.   We thank our customers for recognizing that in us.   The industry is always changing so we’re sure there will be more changes to come, but our philosophy of treating the customer right won’t change.
