MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 11, 2016 REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF KNEEHILL COUNTY AT THE KNEEHILL COUNTY OFFICE, 1600- 2ND STREET NE, THREE HILLS, ALBERTA.

Councillor Hoppins moved that Council approve the reallocation of funds from special projects reserve and strategic plan reserve, as presented, to fund an integrated system for tracking and managing planning and development activities in Kneehill County. CARRIED

Councillor Holsworth moved that Council to amend motion #190/16 and to approve the 2016 Christmas Closure from Monday, December 26, 2016 to Monday, January 2, 2017 at 8:30 am. CARRIED

8.2 Three Hills School Morning Breakfast and Lunch Program

Councillor Hoppins moved that Council direct administration to bring back to the next Council meeting, information on which schools within Kneehill County offer the breakfast and lunch program and who donates to these programs. CARRIED

Councillor Holsworth moved that Council direct Administration to bring back to the next Regular Council Meeting the Master Rates Bylaw with a recommendation to amend the land purchase pricing. CARRIED
The meeting recessed from 9:47 a.m. to 10:01 a.m.
Brad Buchert was not present and Cst. Amanda Miller and Sgt. Gabrial Graham were present when the meeting reconvened.

CIVIL FORFEITURE GRANT
3.1 Civil Forfeiture Grant, Cst. Amanda Miller
Cst. Amanda Miller and Sgt. Gabrial Graham presented to Council the Community Resource Officer (CRO) program. They are requesting letters of support for the program from Kneehill County and other municipalities in the area, as they apply for the Civil Forfeiture Grant. If approved there could possibly be another request for financial support dependent on how much funding they get from the grant.

10.4 Alberta Seniors Central Zone Meeting- Written report from Councillor Hoppins was provided from the meeting he attended on September 23, 2016 in Red Deer.
RPAP CONFERENCE
10.5 Alberta Rural Physician Action Plan Conference- A verbal report was provided by Reeve Long on the conference he attended on September 28-30/16 in Vermillion.
AUMA CONFERENCE
10.6 Alberta Urban Municipality Association Conference- A verbal report was provided by Reeve Long on the conference he attended October 5-7/16 in Edmonton.
