Ken Sanderman has played a key role in making the annual Three Hills Kid's Carnival such a memorable event. Ken built his own scale model train, complete with cars that enables him to provide rides, at special events, to kids of all ages. Rob Mayhew's operations report, at the Kneehill County Council meeting July 6, indicated that building materials were stolen from the Selkirk WSA Reservoir site on the evening of June 24. Cement was slated to be poured on Friday, July 2. Chinook Pipelines started work on the Selkirk distribution line June 24 and should be going full tilt by mid July. They will start east of Linden, head south and circle back. Council is toying with the idea of changing the name of this 'Linden' phase of the Selk

Rae-Ann Dodd to run in Nike Women's Marathon

 

Rae-Ann Dodd, formerly of Three Hills, AB, is running the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco on October 17, 2010, as a member of Team In Training.  Rae-Ann runs together with a coach twice a week, and continues training on her own throughout the week.
The marathon is 42.2 km (26.2 miles) and Rae-Ann will be running over 500 km in the next four months to prepare her mind and body for the challenge.
