Rae-Ann Dodd to run in Nike Women's Marathon

 

Rae-Ann Dodd, formerly of Three Hills, AB, is running the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco on October 17, 2010, as a member of Team In Training.  Rae-Ann runs together with a coach twice a week, and continues training on her own throughout the week.
The marathon is 42.2 km (26.2 miles) and Rae-Ann will be running over 500 km in the next four months to prepare her mind and body for the challenge.

Three Hills RCMP have laid 67 charges relating to recent thefts from area vehicles and thefts of vehicles.
According to Sgt. Joe Sangster, three young offenders and one adult male have been charged with the string of thefts that began in mid-June.
In addition to thefts from vehicles, the culprits have been charged with six vehicle thefts.

On July 11, 2010 at approximately 8:45 PM, a 19 year old female was traveling north on Hwy. 21 in a car just north of Three Hills and lost control of her vehicle and into the path of a semi traveling south on Hwy 21.
A Three Hills RCMP member came upon the collision seconds after it happened, and the driver of the car was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the semi was uninjured and was attended to by local EMS and Three Hills Victim Services.
