Linden Fire Department was dispatched around 4:30 p.m. on Monday when embers from a smoldering fire in a burning pit were picked up by strengthening winds to spark a fire in scattered sawdust and wood pallets at the back (east) side of Lone Pine, a sawdust packing facility located a mile west of Linden.
The resulting fire quickly spread out into the green grass of pasture land, gaining intensity as it fed off of perimeter fence posts and stacked pallets, while winds continued to fan it. Linden F

Monday's staff and faculty appreciation and recognition of retiring college Dean Dennis Punter was more than smiles, handshakes, and cake.

Jon Radcliffe was determined to raise $5,000 for Juvenile Diabetes and the Alberta Cancer Foundation. He raised just under $5,500. One family donated $1,000. Jon let his hair grow for a full year and Taralee Gall cut it all off on the cold long weekend out at Keiver's Lake. Jon and Brandie's son Cole and pals Alec Good and Tate Gall cut their hair for cancer and juvenile diabetes as well. Jon sincerely appreciates all those who contributed.
