Three Hills residents lined up to get their fill of fresh, potable water after last week’s Boil Water Advisory due to a severe water main break at the Town’s pump house. The service remained in place Tuesday to Thursday at the Three Hills Town Office. A water truck remained in service at the Kneehill County office for an additional day.

Kneehill County Council passes 2022 Tax Rate Bylaw

Kneehill County Council passed Tax Rate Bylaw 1848 on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

Under the Bylaw, modest changes to residential, farmland, and non-residential tax rates will ensure current service level standards are maintained in response to increased provincial budget pressures.

Individual impacts will vary based on assessment:

• The average hamlet home (assessed at $100,000) will see an approximate increase of $26 and an acreage (assessed at $300,000) will see an approximate increase of $7

Town of Trochu Council report

All Councillors were present and in-person for Trochu Town Council’s February 28 meeting, in addition to CAO Carl Peterson, Recording Secretary Toni Nelson, and Director of Operations Dave Nelson.
