Barbara was born on October 12, 1941 to Peter & Mina Poffenroth. Barbara attended school in Allingham, then finished high school in Torrington Alberta. Shirley was born and raised in Stettler and she started teaching school in a one room school at age 17. When Shirley came to teach at the Fertile Valley School and the Three Hills Rural School, she met Don McKibbin. James Everett Kleven was born at home in Mawer, SK August 7, 1926, the sixth of seven children born to Ole and Ida (Ask) Kleven. He passed away in the Three Hills Continuing Care Centre May 8, 2018, at the age of 91. He was the last surviving member of his family.
