The Three Hills Thrashers travelled to Red Deer last Saturday and played in the brand new Servus Arena.

After an early powerplay goal by Red Deer, the Thrashers managed to slow the Vipers offensive momentum somewhat. Before the first period ended, Kevin Schrock scored his third goal of the season to tie the score. In the second stanza, the Vipers continued to pour on the offense and were rewarded with five goals to break the game open. They struck a couple more in the final frame to skate away with an impressive 8-1 victory. Klay Munro was again superb in the Thrashers goal, stopping 57 shots in the loss.

The Thrashers have a busy weekend ahead as they host Ponoka on Friday night and then Coaldale on Saturday night, both games at 8:00 pm at Centennial Place Arena. On Sunday afternoon they travel to Okotoks to battle the Foothills Bisons. They will back home next Wednesday as they host the Blackfalds Wranglers.
