On Saturday afternoon, 16 ladies gathered at the home of Sean and Michelle Carney for a baby shower for Bonnie Gail. While there, Sean took the ladies on a guided tour of their new home - what a view of the community!
Many people of the area took in the Community Discovery Night on Sept. 8 to see what Three Hills has to offer.
Congratulations to Veronica Voytechek on becoming a great-grandmother to Jodi and Clint Toews' son Lachlon. Proud grandparents are Wayne and Jean Stankievech.
Kimberly Nakaska had the misfortune of breaking her arm over the weekend at the TL Bar Ranch at Trochu.
Doreen, Steven and Shannon Varga spent the weekend in Edmonton attending a wedding of Doreen's cousin's daughter.
Get-well wishes to Wayne Stankievech who is a patient at the University Hospital in Edmonton.
Adrianna Kiemeny of Strathmore spent four days last week visiting with her grandparents, Allen and Bernice Huxley.
Jim and Dorothy Stewart recently had their daughter, Laurie Thomas and their granddaughter, Amber Daigle and their great-grandson Carter, home for a visit from Princeton and Chilliwack, BC. Laurie came for their school reunion and Amber came along to visit family and friends.
This past Sunday was the fall kick-off at Manor Gospel Church when highlights of the Sunday School curriculum was announced. A good number took in the pot-luck dinner followed by an excellent presentation from the Ukraine team.
On Sunday, Ben and Lorraine held a barbecue and car show for Car Club friends and neighbours with 22 cars in attendance.
Ruth Andrews had her niece and husband, Laurie and Clint King of Smiths Falls, Ontario and their oldest son, Dan and, wife, Leanne and five-month-old son Duncan visit last week. They also visited with Greg Andrews and family. Apparently the bad publicity of our oilsands didn't deter them from visiting Alberta.
On the weekend, Doug and Janine Wittich of Sooke, BC spent a couple of nights with Janine's mother Ruth Andrews and also had a short visit with Greg and family. They were out to Alberta to attend the, "Masters Jumping Competition", at Spruce Meadows, Saturday and Sunday.
Griffin Andrews was a participant at the hockey clinic in Three Hills Friday evening and three more sessions on Saturday.
Mackenzie Andrews and her horse, Smoke, took part in the summer wind-up Gymkhana at the TL Ranch east of Trochu, on Sunday. She and Smoke, placed 1st five times and 2nd twice in events. She also received several prizes. She has been taking riding lessons the last few years at the ranch and also helping out during the summer.
