George Kaechele, former Ghost Pine resident, passed away in Red Deer on Friday, Oct. 29. Funeral services will be held Nov. 3. (See the obituary in the Too Late to Classify for details).
Sympathy to the Frolek families on the loss of their brother-in-law Doug Guy, Susanne's husband of Edmonton, last week. And also their Uncle George Mack, Katherine Frolek's husband of Calgary.
Military Whist has begun for the winter season at Pioneer Place Drop In. Last Thursday was the second game with five tables playing. Winners with most flags went to Doreen Varga,  Neil O'Shea, Frank Richardson and Inaka Bolt. Least flags went to Allen Huxley, Irene Jacques and Miriam Klappe. Military Whist will be played every Thursday evening at Pioneer Place for the winter months. Everyone is welcome.
Congratulations to Carrie Jensen and Todd Vader who were married Saturday at Knox United Church. Martha Larson, Carrie's grandmother who just turned 90 last week, was able to attend along with other relatives including Gord and Lorraine Jacksteit of Calgary, Mark and Carman Fox and boys of Stettler, Rae and Carol McKeen of Three HIlls.
Allen and Bernice Huxley had all their family home for the weekend to attend Carrie and Todd's wedding and dance.
Congratulations to Mae Davidson and Hugh Barton who recently got engaged.

Lori Webb returned Sunday evening from an earned trip to New York City with her Sunset Gourmet business. Seven other ladies of western Canada joined Lori Thursday to Sunday for sightseeing, shopping and they saw Lion King on Broadway. Lori's daughter Jordyn got to stay home with Dad and Grandma Webb of Consort.
