Listening to the news each day is really not the happiest of occasions, is it? Let's keep a smile on our face and make the best of it!
The Ghost Pine Group and friends met at the Atrium last Tuesday. There were eight in attendance. Everyone enjoyed the talk and laughter. Come join us on the second and fourth Tuesday mornings each month.
Karin Nakaska has just returned home from a trip to Vancouver, BC where she spent ten days with her sister Vicki Conroy.
I hope you were able to see the fireworks at the Three Hills sports grounds. They were beautiful and the ice crystals in the air made it even prettier.
Greg and Ashley Kester have just returned from a very enjoyable holiday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
I truly believe our whist players made New Years resolutions. They played on Jan. 7 at the CommUnity Drop In. Those who still kept them and were proud were Elizabeth Gorman, Jim Sailer, Mic King and John Wytenbroek. Those who have already broken their resolutions and were frowning were Sandra Meding, Allan Olmstead, Inaka Bolt and Bernice Huxley. On Jan. 14, those who could see through the clouds were Allen Huxley, Bonnie Richardson, Marlene Luijkx and Jim Sailer. Those who couldn't see through the fog were Art Luijkx, Bernice Huxley, Marie Olmstead and Mel Hansen.
Watson and Grace Reed are pleased to announce the arrival of their 31st great-grandchild. Malachi Jonothan McComish was born on Jan. 15 weighing in at 8 lbs. 2 oz. Proud parents are Jon and Cora McComish of Stettler.
Ruth Andrews has just returned from spending the holiday season with her two brothers and their families in Smith Falls, Ontario.
Wendy Simons of Stoney Plain spent their weekend visiting with her mother, Audrey Soder, here in Three Hills.
Ray and Carl McKeen spent Sunday in Red Deer where Carol was able to celebrate her birthday with Aunt Eve Bowie.
Friends and family were happy to welcome Betty Carlson home on Friday. Betty spent Christmas with her son, daughter in law and three grandchildren in Osaka, Japan. Her son, Rob, from Germany also joined them. They had a very special time together as Rob had never seen his nieces or nephew.
