Jean Jones took Al and Stella Atkinson and Paul and Pat Vasseur out for dinner to celebrate Al and Stella's 50th Anniversary on Dec. 15.
Don and Pat Huxley of Lethbridge and their children Amy and Alex spent the weekend at Don's parents, Alex and Bernice Huxley. While here, they attended the Mt. Vernon Christmas Concert. On Sunday, Allen and Bernice, Doreen Varga and Alex and Amy drove to Strathmore to attend the Strathmore Interchurch Community Choir "Once Upon A Holy  Night".
Joe and June Kanderka hosted their family Christmas dinner on Sunday. Later in the evening, they were serenaded by a 40-person choir from Manor Church.
Watson and Grace Reed had their family Christmas celebration on Saturday in Knox United Church basement. Forty-tree people were present for the occasion. The family members took turns visiting their Dad in the hospital.
Dorothy and Jim Stewart announced they have a new great-granddaughter, Tamara Grace born on Dec. 17. Proud parents are April and Joe Kielar of Wisconsin. Proud grandparents are Ken and Cherry Stewart.
Lucille and Stan Milan had all their family home on Sunday, Dec. 19 for a pre-Christmas dinner.
Ed and Karin Nakaska travelled to Edmonton on the weekend and enjoyed visiting with their daughter Maurene, Larry and Moira Hopkins, and Sandra and Jim MacLaren.
Jackie Ruby attended the Moran Family Christmas on Saturday at Dale and Dianne's home west of Huxley. Present were Trevor and Kay from Calgary, Joel, Carina and Daniel from Gull Lake and Dane and Leanne of Calgary. A nice time of visiting was had by all. Jackie had Rob and Chuck Campbell from Prince George, BC visit on Monday. Rob was Mary Campbell's son. Also coming together for a visit were Dianne Moran, Eleanor Kubinec and John and Jonathan Ruby from Medicine Hat. It was nice for the cousins to see each other.
Military Whist wound up the 2010 season on December 9 with three tables playing. Phylis Palmquist, Darel Pride, Pearl Hansen and Marge Poole won high score and low score went to Mariam Klappe, Elizabeth Gorman, John Tullikopf and Frank Richardson.
Ghost Pine Community Group held their annual Christmas party on Tues., Dec. 14 with 25 members and two guests attending. New executive were announced. No president or secretary as of yet. Vice President is Pat Dau, Cards and Gifts - Bernice Huxley, Catering Committee - Carmen Leaf and Denean Denis. The doll raffle was drawn with Ruth Bellamy of Three Hills winning the doll and wardrobe, Marion Stickel of Three Hills won the Rosebud Dinner Theatre tickets and Colleen Wagner of Ft. Saskatchewan won the toy. The group also donated $677.05 from our November tea to the respite care room. Hats off John Dorn and ATCO for the charitable donation to the GPCG, which was donated to the respite care room. John was given a cheque from ATCO for volunteer hours that he did in the community and had to give it to a charitable organization. Our appreciation for choosing our group. We closed our evening giving out 39 cookie boxes and a show and tell of our Sunshine Friend gift exchange. A delicious lunch was served by Donna Milan.
