Everyone should be happy now, the wind is gone, rain over, sun shinning, what more could one ask for? The robins are trying to find a nesting place, and I have had one that has been batting its head against my window for a couple of days trying to get in. Think it is the same one that tried it last year, short memory I guess, but if it doesn't soon stop it will become a gourmet meal for one of my fluffy mousers.

Pat Dau and Joanne Duncan flew to Parksville, B.C. on Friday to attend the funeral of Jack Meston. Jack was 88 years old and the uncle of Bill Dau and Joanne.

Most of the farmers have finally gotten onto the land this past week helping to relieve some of the stress of late seeding, due to the late arrival of spring. And if anyone can find me a market for the wind we have had the past week we can all be rich. I tried selling snow during the winter to some Ontario folks but all they wanted was our oil.

Did you know Mother's Day is our third most celebrated special day? It is surpassed only by Christmas and Easter. We hope you made Mother's Day special in your home.
Many ladies attended the beautiful shower put on for Heather Voytechek, bride-elect of Josh Denny. Jean Stankievech, Heather's aunt, did a great job as emcee. Many gifts were unwrapped and displayed by the bridesmaids. Heather graciously thanked everyone. It was so good to see our girls growing into responsible young ladies.
