Seniors Outreach March 28, 2012

"Physical activity improves health and well-being. It reduces stress, strengthens the heart and lungs, increases energy levels, helps you maintain and achieve a healthy body weight and it improves your outlook on life... For seniors, weight-bearing physical activity reduces the rate of bone loss associated with osteoporosis. Regular physical activity also maintains strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, and can help reduce the risk of falls." (Health Canada, www.hc-sc.gc.ca).  It is for these reasons Seniors Outreach offers the Link to Health program throughout Kneehill County.
Please join us at one of the following locations for senior approved stretching and strength exercises – your body & mind will thank you!
- Linden Care & Share: Mondays, 1:30 pm.
- Linden Lodge: Mondays & Fridays, 9:30 am.
- Acme Seniors Drop-In Centre: Wednesdays, 10:00 am.
- St. Mary's, Trochu: Fridays 10:00 am.
We are still looking for volunteers to lead our programs in Three Hills. If you are interested in knowing more about this opportunity or about the Link to Health program in your area, please call Seniors Outreach at 403-443-2555 (1-888-443-2555 toll-free).
