Seniors Outreach February 27, 2013

Seniors are now eligible for chiropractic service through their seniors health coverage plan (Group 66).  This benefit started in the summer of 2012. Seniors will receive coverage up to a limit of $25 per visit and to a maximum of $200 per benefit year (July 1 – June 30). Chiropractic services have been proven to be very effective in improving mobility for seniors.  Improved access to chiropractic care helps seniors to lead healthier and more independent lives.  Chiropractic funding was discontinued in 2009 but has now been reinstated. The government estimates that this new benefit will positively impact more than 450,000 seniors in Alberta. If you need help claiming this coverage, please don't hesitate to call our office at 403-443-2555 and we will be happy to assist you. You can meet with one of our Seniors Outreach representatives in every community including Three Hills, Trochu, Torrington, Linden, Acme, and Carbon.
Upcoming special trips include:
• March 1st to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra's open rehearsal of the Scandinavian Masters. Bus will leave Three Hills at 9:00. Reserve your seats now.
• March 27 to Rosebud to see Barefoot in the Park.  Reserve early.
• April 25 to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra's open rehearsal of the Sweet Sounds of the 70s. Get your name in early as these trips fill up quickly. This is a later rehearsal so lunch will precede the rehearsal which starts at 12:30.
• May 31 to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra's open rehearsal of the Planets.  Please make sure you sign up early.  Cost is $20 for seniors and students.
• June 5, during Seniors Week, a trip is planned to Rosebud to catch the Cotton Patch Gospel. Put this on your calendar or let us know that you want a seat reserved for you.
• June 5, a trip is also planned to the RCMP dog training facility in Innisfail.  This will be a fascinating tour so let us know if you are interested in attending.
