Trochu News - April 1, 2015

BIG birthday this week, my friend Leo Knievel is celebrating 75 years at the drop in, this Thursday starting at 9 am. I know he's ordered lots of cake so be sure to "drop in" and wish him a happy day!
What a turn out for TroVal's open house last week. Crowds came from near and far, young and old, to wander the new school building with their own personal tour guide. Hats off to all the volunteers who helped make this evening a great success. The Calgary Stampeders did not disappoint the crowds, with their entertainment during their basketball games with our own senior girls and boys teams. What a fun evening!
Be careful when picking your early crocuses as Denise Radomske will attest to. She was busy gathering some, reaching near a rusty barbed wire fence, on her property, and ended up going to the hospital for a tetanus shot!! Consider yourself warned!
The famous Trochu Easter Shoot is nearly upon us. April 6th, Easter Monday the event will take place. See the classified ad in the Too Late to Classify column in this issue for details.
Watch for a notice from your Chamber of Commerce about an upcoming meeting, and a friendly reminder to pay your business licence and membership dues. You can pick up your new, updated 2015 window clings from Wanda's Restaurant.
That's it for this week in Trochu. Go behave yourself, and have a terrific week!
