The trees have lost their beautiful colour, the grass is still very green and the warm autumn weather allowed for the completion of the harvest. A few rounds of golf are still being played and some folks have taken the opportunity to visit other areas of Alberta.
A fewer number of members and guests came out for the monthly bingo at the Drop In on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Jim Deering and Ron Mossop were on hand to call the numbers for the games. Several people won two or three games and Bill Kallos of Elnora walked away with the blackout prize. Happy Birthday was sung and present to have their picture taken were Jim Christie, Dorothy and Elvin Haller. Birthday cake and other goodies were served. The fellowship of the afternoon was enjoyed by all.
Trochu and District Hall Development Society 300 Club winners for September were Dave Campbell, Gordon Guard, Jason Adams and Marilyn Olmstead.
Trochu Elks 200 Club winners for September were Joanne Winther, Phyllis Steinbach, Judy Downey and Ann Pruden.
