Trochu News - March 16, 2016

March came in like a lamb, will it go out like a lion? Balzac Willie’s prediction of six more weeks of winter didn’t materialize. Instead, spring-like weather is being enjoyed. Geese are flying overhead, doves are cooing, listen to the twitter of the songbirds in the trees and enjoy a walk in the sunshine on the trails.

Seniors are happy to be back in their own premises enjoying coffee and other activities. The monthly bingo and birthday celebrations were held on Tuesday, March 8 with Jim Deering, assisted by Grace Olfert, calling the numbers for ten games. Neil O’Shea was pleased to win the blackout prize. Happy Birthday was sung and those present to have their picture taken were Lorene Adolf, Phyliss Fabian, Bruce Guard, Anne-Marie Lemay, Phil Noble and Linda Peters. Coffee and cake was served.

Trochu Elks 200 Club weekly winners for February were Al Gehring, Ted Pruden (both week two and three) and Maxine Jensen.

Trochu and District Hall Development 300 Club winners for February were Judy Downey, Lynn Tanner, Eldena Adam and Kailyn Peters.
