RCMP Respond to 227 Calls to Service in February

Three Hills RCMP received 227 Calls to Service in the month of February.

There was only one 911 Act (hang up), one abandoned vehicle, one abduction contravening a custody order - unfounded and three animal calls - deer and dogs.

Police dealt with three assaults, one assault on a police officer and three assaults with a weapon- two of those resulted in charges while one victim declined to proceed.

There were four assists to other agencies such as EMS, Alberta Health, CN Rail and Fire. There was one being unlawfully at large - unfounded, one breach of peace, eight break and enters to businesses- one charged - one unfounded, five others- two charged and seven B&E to residences - four unfounded.

There was one child welfare act, one sudden death, seven warrant apprehensions, two criminal harassments, one dangerous driving, two disturbing the peace, one DNA Identification Act and 73 traffic statistics.

There was one fail to remain at an accident scene, one case of extortion, 13 disobeying a court order, two false alarms, three frauds over $5,000, two frauds under $5,000, one intimidation, two items lost/found, one Liquor Act, nine mental health files, two mischiefs obstructing the enjoyment of property, and one flite from a peace officer.

There was one offender management file (curfew), four operating a motor vehicle while impaired - one Provincial sanction- two unfounded and one other Provincial sanction - Landlord/Tenant Act.

Police dealt with one theft under $5,000 - unfounded, there were four people missing but all were found, two possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two over $5,000. One person was charged in other incidents.

There was one possession of a dangerous weapon (hatchet) for a dangerous purpose, two roadside suspensions - alcohol-related and one person was charged following two robberies from a home and vehicle.

Police are investigating three cases of sexual interference - one unfounded, two suspicious person/vehicle files, three thefts of trucks - two recovered and 15 collisions - deer.

There were four files on trafficking cocaine and crystal meth, three Provincial Trespass Acts - one unfounded, two trespasses at night, two unauthorized possession of a firearm, one unfounded, four uttering threats against a person, six well-being checks and nine street checks.
