BELLAMY, George Wilfred

Wilf

George Wilfred Bellamy - May 1, 1928 - July 4, 2011 - Wilf was born to John Henry Bellamy and Elsie (Howell) Bellamy in Brandon, Manitoba. When he was one year old, his parents decided to try farming in the Marsden/Neilburg, Saskatchewan area. The drought had its impact on their farming and in approximately 1950, they sold the farm and moved into a seniors complex in Neilburg. This freed Wilf to pursue his desire for Bible school training. He had accepted Christ as his saviour at the age of 11 and from then on wanted to serve his Lord. After four years of training and summer ministry, he met the lover of his life, Ruth Pansy Peters of Dalmeny, Saskatchewan. Together they served the Lord in printing gospel tracts for worldwide distribution. God gave them 55 wonderful years of marriage and three children, who also serve the Lord. In 2000 he had a slight stroke, which started his road down the dementia path. June 29, 2011 had had a major stroke from which he never regained consciousness. On the evening of July 4 he left this earth and walked into Jesus presence. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Ruth, one daughter Darlene, two sons Lorne (Norma) and Orban (Trish) and five wonderful grandchildren and two granddaughters-in-law, many other relatives and a host of friends.
