With great sorrow we announce the passing of Gladys Isaac on August 16, 2021, surrounded by family at Westview Care Centre. Gladys Isaac was born January 27, 1929, in Linden, Alberta and was the 4th of 9 children born to C.C. and Anna Toews. Her childhood was spent on the family farm. Mom lost her hearing in High School but still got her high school diploma, went to Bible School and Business College. She lived and worked in Calgary until she married William Isaac on March 25, 1961. After getting married, they moved back to Linden and bought the farm where they stayed until 1998 and raised their family. Mom enjoyed spending time with family, reading, and taking pictures. She was very involved with the library at church. After they retired to town she was involved with Care and Share, quilting at church and helping at the lodge. Mom was predeceased by her parents, husband William in 2006, brothers Henry and Fred, brothers-in-law Lloyd Ratzlaff and Jack Dueck, and sisters-in-law Christina Toews and Clara Toews. She is survived by her siblings Erma (Jake) Klassen, Wes (Marge), Ruth Ratzlaff, Allen (Marge), Eleanor Dueck, Gerry (Lorraine) and sister-in-law Anne Toews. Her children Gary (Cindy), Gloria (Ron) Halliday, Gerda (Mark) Klassen and Darlene (Dale) Rempel. Seven grandchildren Justin and Kevin (Sam) Rempel, Annie and Katie Isaac, David Klassen and Elizabeth and Abby Halliday. Two great granddaughters Harper and Sloane Rempel and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services were held Friday, August 20, 2021, at Linden Mennonite Brethren Church with interment in Linden Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.sunsetltd.ca
