Dear Editor,
I always enjoy your column “That’s Life”. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on REMEMBRANCE DAY. My father served overseas WWI at Vimy Passchendaele and Arras. My sister and two brothers served overseas WWII. My sister with ATS drove truck with Convoys in Britain through Bombing Raids and Blackouts. Frank with RCAF and British Bomber Command who was a Bomber Pilot did not return home after one of the missions over Germany.
Ron joined #14 Calgary Tank Regiment, trained at Camp Borden and served overseas in Dieppe Raid and Europe. His wife was a War Bride.
Thank you,
“WE WILL REMEMBER THEM”
